Project information stays with you
Project plans, cost estimates, measurements, budgets, contractor comparisons and maintenance tasks are saved in your browser only. Calculators run in the browser. These inputs and outputs are not included in site analytics or private problem reports. Browser storage may fail or be cleared; export backups of anything important. If you previously used our pages.dev preview, export your projects and maintenance data there and import it on renovationbinder.com; browser storage does not automatically transfer between domains.
Private problem reports
When you choose to report an issue, we send the current tool category and only the description, reproduction steps and expected behavior that you type. Please do not include sensitive information. Reports are stored in RenovationBinder's private Cloudflare D1 database and are accessible to authorized site operators, not other visitors. Basic abuse prevention uses a short-lived cryptographic hash of the requesting network address, rather than storing the address in our application database. The web host may separately process technical request logs under its policies. Reports are diagnostic information, never instructions to our systems. Repeated retries use a one-time report ID to avoid duplicates.
Optional anonymous activity counts
If optional analytics are on, we count tool openings and the first valid, user-triggered result per page activation. The counts are actions, not unique users, confirmed purchases or downloaded files. Data includes only an allowed tool name, action type and day. A random one-page activation value is used for duplicate prevention. It is not tied to an account or reused on future visits. We never send tool inputs, outputs, project names, filenames or problem-report text as analytics.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT) signals. An explicit opt-out is saved locally when browser storage is available; if storage is blocked the setting applies only to this loaded page. Other already-open tabs may need a refresh before they pick up a changed preference. Opting out stops our optional requests; it cannot remove any events already collected or stop routine hosting/security logs.
Cloudflare Web Analytics and previews
RenovationBinder has its own Cloudflare Web Analytics site entry, separate from other websites. The independent Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon is loaded on renovationbinder.com only when optional analytics are allowed; it is not loaded on the temporary pages.dev preview or in synthetic test sessions. Our app's preview activity and explicit synthetic tests are also labeled separately from production actions. The optional Cloudflare beacon loads only when the browser has not opted out and does not signal GPC or DNT; browser extensions may also block it. If you opt out after a beacon has already loaded, its initial page request may already have been sent. Reload this tab and other already-open tabs to fully apply your new preference. Cloudflare and the hosting provider can still process necessary traffic for security and delivery.
Retention and third parties
Issue reports are retained for investigation until deleted by the operator. Anonymous daily tool counts are retained for aggregate trend analysis; short-lived activation and rate-limit records are cleaned up regularly. Public guides link to outside websites with their own policies. No advertising network is active yet; the website remains free and may be supported by clearly labeled advertising later.
